Re: IL2 and other flight sims.

That's some pretty fancy flying. Never managed that myself.

Re: IL2 and other flight sims.

Nope... Its my system and it works. I can only hit the deck at about 180-200 km/h I can't go any slower or I stall the F4U I think thats a downside of those damnable gull wings...

I came a little high (the practice starts you at 600m exactly, I think when I was turned back I was like 650m-700m) and my distance was about the same but I had no way to judge. In fact if you notice that flare just before I approach the deck, I almost didn't make it!

Re: IL2 and other flight sims.

I always either miss the deck entirely or I miss the arrestor cables. I've never tried it in an F4U...usually a Seafire. It's a smaller plane and for some reason I think that gives me a better chance. The narrow track landing gear doesn't help though. I usually ignore the guy waving me away...or I shoot him.

Wait... where can you get an LSO? Or are you just joking?

I'm trying to figure out the mission editor to get a B-25 on a ship... So I can eventually get the Doolittle raid figured out.
