info on total German tanks deployed on each front?

This could be an easy one, or a bit harder, but what are the actual numbers of the general tank types that were sent to the African front, Italian front, Western front and the Eastern front?

I think I understand that there were more tanks issued to the Eastern front in a total time period over the war, but, by the end, what were the actual ratios, if anyone would know about this.

Now, the hard part, should specific tanks that were shipped to both fronts at one time or another be counted in the original front it was sent, or something else?

For the moment, I will limit this to Pz IIIs and Pz IVs of all types, Panthers, Tigers and Kingtigers.

If you know one of these listed, or others not listed feel free to take a shot at any of them, as to what you think.

Cheers, I've always thought about this question, Eastern front = 60% of German tanks were there? 75%?? I know it depends on the time, say the Bulge, battle of, to Kursk and such but overall through 1945 might be????

Interesting question. I looked up some stuff but it's hard to quantify these things. I have found that on all fronts at any time the biggest number of Panthers in action never exceeded around 600. An amazing low number but due mainly to transfer of vehicles for maintenance and repair. I assume the majority of the Panther deployment was in the East with the rest in France/NW Europe and some units in Italy.

Thanks for the reply, I did find some interesting numbers on the Bagration PDF. I'll have to look more closely next time and get the numbers to put up here and see what you guys think of them!
