Re: SS Sturmbanfhurer of Artillery 90mm.
PART TWO
The leather shelter has as primary colour, Black, mixed with Light grey. I used black for the shadows, and black mixed with medium flesh for the lights, all they from Vallejo. Same as the boots. ![]() For the uniform, I´ve used, standar colours from Vallejo catalogue, clearing they for the lights. ![]() ![]() ![]() And here, the final steps for the painting of the officer. ![]() ![]() ![]() Now…it´s time to end and show the results…

Oh, what a piece of work! That shepperd got to have been a real challenge to paint! You make it look just like you've used oils instead of Valleo...

Re: SS Sturmbanfhurer of Artillery 90mm.
Oh you guys!!! It's 'shepherd'. I know...English is a bloody stupid language with no rules you can count on and words that mean seven different things.
I've never painted a figure of this size before but I can see the challenges. The leather looks amazing and the dog looks like it might take a sly leak on the officer's leg...or worse ( ).Kawalsky, you've gone to great lengths to illustrate your techniques here and I thank you for that. Very informative and helpful posts...and an awesome figure too. I really enjoy the presentation with that beautiful wooden plinth as well...it really adds to the 'package' but in a subtle way...it's 'classy'. I've never seen a Pegaso figure 'in the flesh'. Being made in Italy (I believe), they're very expensive down here and not very easy to get...I have two choices really. Wait until June for our annual model 'Expo' when all the distributors are in one place or order online from the one guy I know in this country who imports them. A figure of this size sells for a couple of hundred dollars here...that's four or five kits to me...over a years worth of modelling. Having said that, Pegaso have a small range of Samurai figures that I really like the look of. I have quite an interest in Japanese art and history before 1900...I nearly bought a 90mm (I think) Samurai for $250 Aussie a couple of years ago. I'm glad I didn't...I couldn't have done it justice. Peace.

Re: SS Sturmbanfhurer of Artillery 90mm.
friend...this size of Figures from Pegaso Models (yes, Italian figures), are expensive not only in Australia, believe me.
I payed for this figure, 100 euros, and 20 more for the wooden plinth, (I think), and yes...very good quality, very nice, very original...but NEVER AGAIN!!! ..It happens the same..for this price, as you say, I can get, not four or five kits, but two yes.About the Samurai figure you bought...you said: I'm glad I didn't...I couldn't have done it justice....friend, if you never try it...you´ll never know it. Remerber Master Yoda words...do it or don´t, but never try it. Best regards friend!!

Re: SS Sturmbanfhurer of Artillery 90mm.
Wise words mate and one day...
I'd like to practice a little on some cheaper figures first and I'm quietly picking Antonio's brains for tips and techniques , I hope he doesn't notice. I have seen pictures of these Samurai figures from the Euromilitaire show and some are simply breathtaking. I say if we don't aspire to the higher levels, what hope do we stand of achieving them?Peace.
