Us m-20 a.u.c. Tamiya 1/35

Hi folks!!!, let me show you from the beginning until the end the building and painting of this kit.

Last year, on summer holydays in the Brave Coast (Girona), I´ve found this kit in a toy-shop, and I fall in love with it at the same moment.

I think this is a very good kit, with a lot of possibilitys (winter scheme, captured, new..etc), but I decided to do a “ended-war” vehicle, located in Germany at summer of 45.

The wrong part of the kits, were the stencils…but as you know…Nothin´s perfect.

Ok, let´s go.

Mate, she's a beauty. Great chipping and subtle dust...again, the coloured vision blocks catch my eye. I guess you're using pigments for dust? Something I need to practice with. Thanks for the pics mate...they're awesome.
Peace.

Re: Us m-20 a.u.c. Tamiya 1/35

Thanks Geek.

Yes, I´ve used pigments for dusting, but this time, mixed with this:

TENSOCROM ACTIVE SURFACE AGENTS.

I recommend to you (well, I recommend it, to everybody).

Mixed with dry pigments, you can get very good effects on your models, try it. You´ll enjoy it.

Thanks again for you words friend.

Cheers!!

It's entirely my pleasure mate.
I've seen the TENSOCROM stuff advertised in magazines but I've never seen them in the shops or used them. In fact I don't even know what they are. Any chance you could give a brief description of how they work sometime?
Peace.

Re: Us m-20 a.u.c. Tamiya 1/35

well...I can try it with my "fantastic english".

Everybody knows Pigments (Dry pigments), Mig, Andrea Miniatures..etc. Tensocrom is the same, but WET pigments. Of course you can apply dry pigments "on dry", but the results are not the same.

To fix the dry pigments, you must use turpentine or similar, but not with Tensocrom, cause as they are wet, when dry, stays fixed to the surface you applied before.

Mixed, you can get the same effects as dry pigments (dust, oil, smoke, rust, fuel, grass..etc), without using turpentine or similars.

I hope you understand me...

Got you loud and clear mate...honestly, your English is more than adequate and certainly not the worst on the site. In fact, I'd say your English is better than some of the people who live in my street!
Thanks for the explanation. I will look into this at some point soon.
Peace.
