Dml 75mm pak40

ok, this is another one ready for paint (and waiting for the inspiration).

This time is DML 75mm PAK 40 with the Lion Roar p.e. set to detail it.

About the Dragon kit, nothing bad to say. Weel done, good joints, no pin marks...nice kit.

about the Lion Roar p.e...some parts doesn´t fits correctly, and metal plates are quite difficult to work, but..nothing is perfect (somebody said).

and this will be the paint scheme.

I don´t know if this scheme was real, or re-painted for a museum, but... I like it.

About this..if anyone can share some pictures of this Pak 40 for the paint scheme, it will be great.

Cheers friends!!

I would guess from the lighter shade of beigue that it a museum paint, but if you like it, go for it. It's your model
as for my take on what else you could do for a camo scheme, I think that the germans did anything and everything for camo scemes on tanks, and probobly the same for their artillary. No wrong answer.

Re: Dml 75mm pak40

Nice model mate...I like guns and artillery pieces because they're different. Is this the same weapon mounted in the Marder II?
That Lion Roar stuff is pretty good huh? I really like the bolts on the barrel and I assume there's a plastic muzzle-brake somewhere too.
As for the paint scheme in the pic, at a guess I'd say it was a museum paint job and not authentic...but who cares? If you like it, I say go for it...it looks good accurate or not.
Peace.

Re: Dml 75mm pak40

yes you´re right.

Marder II, III, Sd.Kfz 251 (some versions), 234/4...etc.

The 75mm Pak 40, was mounted and carried by a lot of vehicles.

About the paint scheme, I think that you and NachtJager are right. It must be a re-paint for a museum, not authentic, but...looks good in a Pak 40.

Thanks a lot "majetes".

(majetes = good and nice people)

Actually, I think I've now used every word I know except 'cerveza'.

Peace.

Re: Dml 75mm pak40

I hardly ever drink mate, but this week I've had two 'cerveza moments'.
Yesterday, my neighbour invited me in to see his 'studio'. He's a musician and I've been known to play a tune or two. He offered me a 'Becks' which I accepted. After one beer, I was a little ! I'm a very cheap date .
Peace.
