They are mostly unmodified Dragon figs..

Interesting. Thanks. The one kneeling down has a similar pose to the Academy tank crew set figure who is holding a fuel pipe. Must admit I was a bit nonplussed when I saw the number of figures and variations for this scale that are available now. Much better than the older Tamiya range and pretty well priced too.

Re: Diorama Construction - Opel Blitz/flak38

Modellers are spoiled for choice these days. However I'd like to see better and more detailed 1/48 scale ground crew sets for different nations and periods. For armour/vehicle modellers, there's so much available in 1/35 it almost blows my mind.

Must admit I haven't looked at the 1/48th ranges much. I expect this scale would be excellent for aircraft though.

A friend has a Spitfire in this scale which he has been working on slowly for a couple of years. It has an Australian ace as the pilot figure. I can't remember if the name was Clive Caldwell or whether it was someone else but the whole thing is going to look great when it's finished.

Re: Diorama Construction - Opel Blitz/flak38

There's not much to see figure wise. But I think it's changing slowly. I think ICM had a Luftwaffe ground crew set that comes with Joseph 'Pips' Priller's BMW which was a limited run kit. I wanted it just for the car. 1/48 is my favourite scale for aircraft...but I remember a time when it was pretty rare to find aircraft in that scale. It was 1/72 or 1/32.
