Re: My current projects

Mate, good works!!!

That sherman colour scheme looks really good, friend, so good as JPanther scheme.

I´ve used sometimes Bluetack for tri-tone camo scheme, at Leo2A6 for example, and it works ok if you want to get soft edge camo scheme.

"Nah, thinkin' 'bout strippin' it n' start over" McCoy dixit...DON´T DO IT mate, they looks really good works.

so...what are you waiting for "attack" that Char??? Lookin´the other camo schemes you´ve done, to paint a "Renault" camo for that Char will be something easy for you, mate.

Cheers!!

Re: My current projects

Haha, it's rather bad when you move on n' loose the flow with a kit. But hey, I did finish my 251 even if it lay dormant n' nearly finished for over a year.

The Jagdpanther though is scrapped.

Hey Chuck! I've got that Academy Tiger I (mid) with interior in my collection. Have you ever seen any tracks in a kit that's been worse?

The Char isn't scrapped but just awaits inspiration.

Re: My current projects

McCoy....that's the reason I got the Fruil tracks....The Academys must have bout up all the old stock Tamiya tracks from th 1970's! They are RANCID!!!! I wanted to use the rubber ones for another project, (I musta had bats in the brain when I came up with that idea!!) They basically crumbled when I tried to heat em and pin em....one track broke in 3 places. If I remember right, I ended us using a bunch of spare track like from other kits to finish the project.....

Re: My current projects

I saw one of the Academy Tigers built by a reasonably talented guy at my club last week. Not the one with the interior though. Seemed to me that it was pretty basic...like Tamiya's old kits. Again, those vinyl tracks defying gravity and floating above the road wheels really mess up the look.
PM, the Friuls are just beautiful and I guarantee that after you use 'em, you'll struggle to go back to any other track.

Peace.
