Re: Airfix BBMF & WW2 Airfield Set
Here is the Hurricane, and my first attempt at airbrushing. I like the finish an airbrush gives, also nice and even!! Now to mask it off and do the top sides, that will be more interesting. You can see in the picture i have used putty to mask off the undercarriage bay.

Re: Airfix BBMF & WW2 Airfield Set
Looks great.
There's no going back to the old paint brush now Steve. (Airbrushes rule supreme.) Cheers, Dave BTW, what type of airbrush did you get yourself mate?

Re: Airfix BBMF & WW2 Airfield Set
Your right Dave, I am impressed with the result! Far superior to brushing. The air brush is a VERY basic $10 brush witha can of air. Having never used one before I didn't want to spend fortunes. I will see how the next few models come out then maybe move up.

Re: Airfix BBMF & WW2 Airfield Set
I'm sure I'll love the airbrush when I get going with it, but myself personally, I'd never give up the brush. Airbrush is wonderful for smooth layers and blending, but there are some textures that just don't compare with a brush. Personal preference though mates. To each his/her own.
What kind of paint are you using again...enamels or acrylics?
