Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

Hi all,

normal building I always russische vehicles, only sometimes german models

During next months I will work on this Hetzer from tamiya.
Because I will use Modelkasten tracks I must change the Idler and drive-sprocket otherwise the tracks won't fit.
Note , the difference between the Tamiya wheels and those from Modelkasten. The MK's are much finer , and have crispy details.
Also I added some PE from the Voyagerset to the hull. These are excellent in detail , and are a joy to work with.

Best regards

André

Re: Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

Lookin' really good so far! Some day I'll go the distance n' buy this kit for myself but there's so much else to do first. What's your experience with ModelKasten? I've heard that they're brittle n' don't handle Humbrol Enamel that good n' just crumble under the paint.

It's gonna be a pleasure to follow this build.

By the way, the name Hetzer was intended for the Entwicklung E-10 n' wasn't officially used for the Jagdpanzer 38(t).

I'm a Humbrol guy too...as far as I'm concerned they make the best enamel paint for models and their colour range is excellent.
Dreeke, thanks for your huge contribution here so far...great stuff. I'm really looking forward to following this build. I want to build a Hetzer myself one day and I like the look of Tamiya's kit. Good luck with the build.

Re: Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

Today I have kept myself busy with the fenders.
It is the first time that I will make a model with battle damage.
The fenders have already battle damages.
Now is it the question is this this way good or already too much??

It looks reasonable, Andre! I don't think you've gone overboard at all!
