Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work
Quote:
Hello Generaloberst Lufttiger Been out of town for a couple of days, got a PM from Magna asking about our moves, thought I was late so PM him back with my thoughts. I don't know what you sent in but I thought the attack by the Stuka on the Crusader worth the risk to our 88 as the British were about to roll up our right flank with said tank. It appears to have worked to our advantage, sorry if I got ahead of myself. Hagen |

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work
The lack of AA for the British is a result of the hastily planned attack. Units were thrown in from what was available and the AA just wasn't. The Germans don't have many aircraft available though so it isn't going to be every move.
The British do have an advantage in artillery though which when used properly can be a real asset. I still wouldn't like to have to pick who is going to win this one at this stage either. |

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work
We've sent in our orders for our move so will see what happens, good thing
Fieldmarshall Hagen ordered the Blimp Hidenburg to make a pass on those Brit troops, that should shak'em up a bit. ![]()

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work
I was wondering what all that gas was coming from the German lines!

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work
Don't worry I found you.....
It's the Germans Offensive Fire and then Movement phase. Here we go. Many of the German units didn't fire this time as they were needing to reorder. The Panzer III had another go at the Valentine and suppressed it. The Valentine is not quick so a suppression means a single slow move even if it reorders. The Valentine also has a problem with reordering due to the loss of the Crusader. This lowers it's reorder roll chances so it is possible for it to retreat contrary to commands. We will see. The Panzer II fired at the infantry in front of it and the roll was a beauty. Another section eliminated (that's about 1 whole platoon this move). The German infantry reordered well and moved forward to the cover of the rocks on the front face of the ridge so they would be out of the way of other units (you cannot fire through the line of your own infantry on the same height level - you can fire through any vehicle or gun). The Armoured car failed to reorder and is still disordered with no movement. The Panzer IV reordered and is on overwatch. It can fire at any British unit which fires during the British Defensive fire phase. The 88 crew managed to reorder by the skin of their teeth and are moving back to the gun position. Next move they may be able to dismount and man the gun (depending on the movement roll) but it means the 88 will not fire again until the next German offensive phase. Note that it will also have trouble firing to it's right flank due to smoke from the burning Crusader. It is now the British Defensive fire phase. Last edited by MAGNA; April 17th, 2008 at 04:16 AM.
