Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Well, let's find out shall we?

British Offensive Fire Phase.

The smoke on the left flank has finally cleared. Straight shots for everyone.

The Grant fires at the Panzer II. Much better shooting disorders the Panzer. It's shot capability is severely dented.

The British infantry to the front of the ridge keeps the German infantry busy.

On the right flank the 6lber has another shot at the 251 - again no result.

British reorder / move Phase.

The left flank units reorder well thanks to their commander and a few quick smacks across the sides of a few heads with his Webley - that was close folks.

Infantry on the left flank edges closer to the ridge.

Slight disaster (is there such a thing?) on the right flank. The reorder is a shocker. The infantry on the right fall back, the 6lber limbers and edges back. The Valentine is just as bad and retreats one action. All end the move disordered. Still, they could come back yet.

The units on the left flank are appalled at this turn of events. All german firepower can now be turned towards them..... the infantry who can start digging furiously.....

It is now the German Defensive Fire Phase.

That darned Valentine is going to fall off the edge of the world if she keeps heading backwards!

Excellent observation WR. In fact, if it does reach the back edge of the table and cross it (where it first came from) ,it is out of the game. Although the speed that thing goes at means the game will be over before this could happen.

Bad luck with the right flank but you are still in there.

It was a bit disappointing wasn't it. I was looking forward to close combats all round but they may gather their nerve after a nice cuppa and come surging back.

I was thinking this may be the case, if it reached the edge. That darned Pz IV is a sizeable obstacle.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

German Defensive FIre.

Everything that can fire does as per usual after which the British units on the right are no worse off (the only worse off they could be is eliminated).

On the left flank the infantry takes plenty of fire which results in the closest units being hit. The two in front of the ridge are disordered and the one on the flank of the ridge is suppressed.

I was expecting medium to heavy carnage on that side but it was not to be.

It is now the German turn, starting with artillery if it is called in, which for the German side has been an unusually bad run.

One thing we can here is the drone of an aircraft.......
