Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

German Artillery Phase.

The shells scream in on the Grant !! Hairy stuff for a moment but no hits. That thing is amazingly lucky considering it's profile.

Mortar fire suppresses a British section on the left flank.

The plane comes in for it's strafing run along the left flank troops (best option). Three sections are in the firing line. Two more suppressions.

German Offensive Fire Phase.

This is it folks, over the top - firing goes on from one end of the ridge to the other. Two British sections disordered. Amazing - no losses again.

The German units reorder well and the Hannomag roars forward to deal with the infantry on the right flank.

It is now the British Defensive Fire Phase after which we will have some pics.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

British Defensive Fire Phase.

What a topsy turvy game. Just when the German side has the British cold, their shooting fails them again. This facet seems to have seesawed for the whole game for both sides.

Anyway, the British take their shots back with the only effect on the German infantry being a disorder on the left of the ridge.

Things are different with the vehicles. On the right flank the Valentine has actually been able to shoot !! Plus it is in good order for a change. It fires at the 251 which has advanced to sort out the British infantry. The Valentine actually gets a good roll. In fact, the best it can get. Smoke pours from the destroyed 251. Amazing.

On the left, the Grant continues it's inconsistent form with the gun. It missed the Panzer II and then blew it up. It missed the armoured car and now it has blown it up !!

Yes folks, you read it here first, two German AFV's blown away in one phase.

Normal service will now be resumed with the British Artillery and Offensive fire phase.

Please stay tuned.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Good rolls gents but as we know the Germans under Colonel Hagen aren't done with yet. It's up to you chaps to tally ho in the right direction instead of backwards or it could swing the other way real quick.

Well done to everyone too - nice work and lots of unexpected moves. A few have had me scratching my head but that's the beauty of real players - things are not done in the same old way - again - great work from both sides.

Now will somebody please win this thing so we can get on with the next one......

Wink Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

I see Magna is getting an idea already for the next game I bet!! Lets see if I can cut some "good" orders tonight and see if we can wrap this up, no idea though. The best laid plans are out the window if the dice don't work the way you thought they would!!

Cheers, the sand Germans are putting up a hell of a fight for that sandy hill ( mine and I will add in WRs compliments right back at ya gentlemen, great first game here!!), I guess they want Rommel to survive his front line visit there.
