Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

As in petrol ? If that's what you mean, about $1.43 - $1.49 per litre. Aussie dollar is about 93c to the U.S. It keeps going up and down but more up than down. Apparently in China it is about 30c a litre.

Has the price gone up much in the US ?

Talking Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

About 3.20 a galon right now, with a barrel of oil over the 110$$ mark

No "Cheer" for that price

Oh man. When are these electric cars going to be affordable. That'll fix 'em. Saw one that is being made in Europe - would you believe 400 mile range and 700 horsepower. More a capacitor system than batteries with a 10 minute charge time on 3 phase or overnight at home. I want one - even the 250hp would do.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Hi all...sorry to have gone off the grid for a few days...I'm not ignoring you ...I was away for a couple days (since Thursday), as my wife and I were on the road for my Birthday. I'm back in the Zone (pun intended), and I'll PM my Brit partner, and we'll get the British marching orders off to Magna after we confer on our strategy...hopefully before Monday. Thanks for your patience, all!

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

No worries.

Remember, If anyone has any questions on general rules - eg artillery and the like, please post them here and I will give an explanation. For anything not covered in the rules I will use due diligence, studious research, and probably make something up on the spot.

One other hint - viewing distances can be lower due to heat haze.

Magna...is there a movement distance limit? In other words, how far can any one unit move?

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

The movement varies for vehicles. Infantry is 4" per action. Units can have up to two actions per move according to their morale and activation. A full move for infantry is 8" but may be say 1 action to dismount, 1 4" move and so on. Vehicles are the same. Two actions if you are in good nick. Turning more than 45 degrees is an action. Breaching an obstacle is an action.

Be warned too that any unit doing a rapid advance - two actions of movement - can be fired on at any point of the second action by the defender.

Also remember each side gets a move per turn. At the end of each sides move the other side gets defensive fire.

You cannot fire in your turn and then move the same unit you fired. Offensive fire comes before movement. If you order a unit to keep advancing I will not fire in their turn but will keep them moving. If moving is obviously a bad idea due to enemy tactics I will stop. Just like a subordinate would - except you don't have to waste time putting me in front of a firing squad.

How does artillery work? Is it there when you ask for it, or is there a delay?

I like the map with the men & tanks on it, cool! But we seem to be missing
some guys, are they off the map, or just not visiable?

Question Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

MAGNA

Is there an objective to win or lose here, or just killing the other guys units to break units/morale to "win" the game?

Thanks

Cheers

Tom
