Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Ah... common problem in dice games. When you roll the dice against the wall - let it go.

Took me a few years to work that one out.

Talking Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Mine always seem to fall off the table, and I dive after them, just to see what I "would have got", before re-rolling again, or the dreaded "cocked" dice, stuck at an angle.... those teaser 6's just have you "shaking the table to get it to "land right"

Cheers, To better "on target" dice rolls that don't fall off the table or land in the terrain!!!

Don't worry, there are some I have to do as well so you can always blame me.
Glad you have dice as I none!

Question Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

MAGNA thanks for the info, I understand there is no time limit.

Other ??????

What is the scale of the "map" ? How much time does a turn represent?

Please bare with me, until I get the nuances of this style of play down..

Thanks.

Must admit I don't think we've been into that stuff.

SCALE - Same from one side of the board to the other.

TIME - goes from start to finish in each turn.

Let's try that again.

Scale 1" = 25 metresso 40" = 1 kilometre (5/8th of a mile).

Time - about 15 minutes per turn or thereabouts.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

I'll have the right info in amongst the stupid comments most times.

BTW - there is no limit in moves for this one as I don't expect it to go for all that long. It is a small scenario really and doesn't have many options for either side as far as tactics go.

The other reason for the no limit thing is that this is really a 'getting used to the system' game. More serious efforts will have definite objective and turn constraints.

The friend I have who has the 4.5 x 1.8 metre table we use (pics coming soon) would like to help so we will have access to one end of the table most of the time. This will give me somewhere to set up a 1.5 x 1.8 (5' x 6') game with full landscaping so it will look a lot better. We also then have access to all the figures and models we keep at his place - so look out Wermacht - the Russians will be coming.

Not the worry, a little learning curve on my part, I have 5 games including yours on the go, at roughly the same scale, just trying to sort it all out.
