Miniatures - You play - I do the work

i would like to post a game here for members to play. It will be a small scenario with a map for each side. Players can go into groups if they want to. All you do is work out what your units will do for the next two moves. After the moves are done I will post a situation report and an updated picture with arrows etc. for the next two moves to be worked out.

You would need a ten sided dice so each player can submit X number of rolls. Some rolls need to be low and some high so it can't be rigged. I thought this would add to the participation as the rolls would not be totally my fault.

If anyone is interested please post here. Two or more players are all that is needed and it shouldn't take up too much of anyones time as I will do the table setup, moves, and so on. All players would have to do is a few dice rolls to send me and a bit of thinking.

The scenarios would be mainly Europe / Russia / Mediterranean but I think I
have some figures and stuff for the Pacific somewhere too.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

This is a great idea MAGNA.
I'd certainly be interested to play...despite the fact that my partner will probably give birth to our second child any minute now. This could take up some of my time...so if you get a bunch of folks who can be more 'present'...be sure to start without me.
Ten sided dice you say...I think I know where I can get one.
Keep me posted.
Peace.
BTW...looking forward to seeing your game pieces too.

The time taken doesn't really matter at all.

What I might do first off is post a scenario with starting pics and positions. You can then choose what you would do given the problem at hand and we can go from there. Sort of a test if you like.

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Well, as long as you don't mind me maybe dropping out for a few days after we start I'm game. Of course, if I DO drop out because we added to the family, there'd be nothing to stop you starting again with anybody else who was interested.
We can look at it as a kind of test as you say. I think it's a fine idea. Just so you know, my wargaming experience is limited to rules my friend and I made up ourselves when we were kids...they were pretty simple too. We used to cast our own Napoleonic figures (out of lead too) and use them. The rule was that any figures on the floor HAD to be painted. We had fun. I was the French.

Yeah. Did that with Prince August moulds. I still have the cannon.

The game side will be fine as you post what you are doing and then I post back what happened. If it takes a while for your next set thats fine.

Nice one Hagen...don't think I'll be out that long at a time.
Sorry for the delay MAGNA...our new baby is due on Thursday and I'm flat out like a lizard drinking NOW. I'll do my best. Need to find a pair of ten sided dice eh?

I would have to also, was wondering though if we couldn't just pull, ace thru ten from a deck of cards??

Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Okay. A pack of cards will be fine. I just want to allow players to have a bit of the input as far as the luck factor goes.

I'll have something up soon so we can have a go and iron out any bugs or panzers that get in the way.
