Re: Welcome to the World War II Gaming section!

Blip.....Blip.....Blip.....

PONG ruled, in the day (and we have just dated ourselves bigtime!).

Yeah I agree.....when I picked up a PS2, I was blown away! I had a Ninetendo 64, and the games were just plain sadistic. What is cool, IMO, about games like First Person Shooters, is that it puts you in the action. For the time spent playing, you're storming the Normandy Beaches or crawling through the French countryside mud. Amazing guilty please stuff. I've never owned many games for the PC, but I have to admit that some of the games being highlighted here are turning my head in their direction!

Re: Welcome to the World War II Gaming section!

I do have a PS2. My daughter bought it for me for Christmas a few back, I really didn't get into that much. It's mostly by her and her husband when they visit.
They also got me a copy of Panzer Elite for my computer, But again, I only popped it in once to see what it looks like.

I think I need to start looking into these more.
Thanks to this section I now feel like I'm missing something.

Re: Welcome to the World War II Gaming section!

Glad to be a good influence on 'ya!!!

I'm a big fan of the Medal of Honor series on PS2. Very time consuming, though...as are most games on PS2...so I don't spend a lot of time on it. But to be perfectly honest, as interesting the story lines are on MoH, I actually had the most fun with Castle Wolfenstein! Set in WWII, it also covers the occult, fighting off just as many zombies and humans. What's not to love!!!

Talking Re: Welcome to the World War II Gaming section!

Personally, IMHO, Steel Panthers is the best of the PC games, I've found few that can hold my interest. It's replayability is next to none. I posted a lot in the other game forum on it's charms. It's simply the best.
