Thanks Dave, I will get the board over here in the next hour or so, then take some pics to see how it actually looks for players to see their units.

I just picked up a Flames and smoke bundle that looks pretty good for any blown up stuff!!

Cheers, now to test my pic taking aptitude, that will be my main prob I think.

Emmery, no problem my firend, I miss stuff all the time here myself

Cheers, whwenever you have a moment or two, "dig" away and post em'!!

Re: Flames of War

Looks interesting. What side needs a commander? I know absolutely nothing about the FoW system, just so you know.

Cool Re: Flames of War

Hey Mike, thanks, I was getting a bit worried here about finding any players here. And I think it is fitting that the two "kings" of running WW II games here at the zone might go head to head here with a system they don't know much about.

Cheers, look to the bridge assault thread here and in the game den, you guys can pick either German or Russian, it is fairly armour heavy (both sides), but with infrantry types, arty, pretty much everything except air.

Thanks agian, it means a lot to me here to contribute in some small way here, as I think you know my friend.

Here I am playin' FoW, I have Joe's as well, but I'll wait til he shows up tonight here and signs in. Not the best pic, but it will do I guess. The "battle" pics were not so good, but I'll post one of them regardless anyways......

Cheers, did'nt get to far, but an interesting game. I have a Company of Panzergrenadiers (in half-tracks) and a Greneadier Co as well, in support not to much but a full (used to be LOL) 6 Wespes and 4 Jagdpanzers in reserve still off-table. Joe is playing a lateWar British "subdivision" , infrantry as well, but with tank support, and Snipers on both sides as well!!

Not the "best" table I've played on, but it works, the table is 4 x 8 feet, the usual FoW battlefield is usually 3 x6 feet I beleave for most gamers who play this.

Cheers, I'll get the other side in a bit.

Here we have the German side, Normandy if you can imagine it VERY hard LOL. The beach assault has been done (no time) so we are slugging it out just inside the beach defense zone.

Re: Flames of War

I love the way this is shaping up. Thanks for hosting this game, Tom...I finally get to see a FoW battle played out (and many more, I hope!). You're tops, man!

Wink Re: Flames of War

A couple other things of interest that "slipped" out is that there just might be a FoW board game, plastic figs and all, and you can also run a campaign with the regular miniatures and rules for a table top game!!!
Also, there seems to be some talk of an air combat game using some of the basic rules in FoW, now that has me very interested!!

Cheers, kinda wish I was there to ask my own questions......
