Re: What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

I only ever bought used game stuff once and it was a rule book. I got a 2nd edition printing of the "Chainmail" rules off of E-Bay for $69.00.

If it is the Chainmail I know, it is the rules Gary Gyrax published first and later turned into Dungeon and Dragons.

Re: What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

Salutations All

Blazing Angels 1 it cost $44.95 aussie, and i love it, but it is very quirky, like in one game you have to shoot down as many enemy aircraft in a certain time, well the quirk is that you are over London in a Spitfire and you have to shoot down B-17's escordted by more Spitfires.

But overall it is fun.

Regards

Axis and Allies standard world game. One Japanese ship missing, otherwise all present and accounted for at the princely sum of $10.00. I don't buy many second hand games so this is the most expensive.

I have my original version, and I picked up a spare at a yard sale for the extra pieces. I always had grand plans to see if I could do a mega game of some sort with the two, but alas, nothing yet. I've see the new edition boxed on the store shelves, but never see it out...from what I've heard, it's not too different from the original.

Mag....do you have any problems playing with the ship in question missing?

No problems as long as you sink one every turn or so.

If it does get to be a problem we just raid the Europe box for any stuff needed.

Oh, good point there on the raiding party! You know, just a thought here...ever consider writing an email to Avalon Hill, and asking if they could mail you a couple spares? You never know mate! If you tell them you own a couple of their titles, and plan on purchasing more, they may want to keep you happy! And ask for some posters, too...they're usually pretty good at sending out promo stuff (just don't tell them I sent you!).

1st of all, im sorry im late in getting back to you guys.

This is the fore runner rule set to Dungeons and Dragons 1st addition. Written by Gary Gygax & Jeff Perren.

There are a few for sale now on Ebay if you care to take a look at them. Just run a search for "Chainmail rules" in the toys and games section.
