Re: Dicey Question

I have an electric dice with a small peizo speaker. It activates when you roll and says the number till you pick it up again. Then it stops. It's great if you roll it under something 'cause you can hear it so if you get one you can never ever lose it.

Now those, I truly never heard of! Inventive! Yet.....Weird!! Guess that can be filed securely under the "What will they think of next?" catagory.

I used to work at a Walmart here in Washington Missouri, and I know the younger generation can NOT count back change! They also cannot do simple addition and subtraction without a calculator! The schools actually allow them to use a calculator on math tests. I once read in the early 80's that some think tank put out a research paper that said that we won't need smart workers in the future, just workers that will follow orders. The computers will do the hard stuff. This is what has been guiding education in our country ever since! Listen to the talk radio shows sometimes, high school kids in California get science class credit for showing the class how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich! It was their science project, and they got a good grade on it! it is scary!!

Who's the person who voted for "naw....they look purty"?

I don't wanna confuse 'em any more than they already are mate. I try and give them exact money...it saves all kinds of trouble. A dice with numerals on it is the same as a digital watch. I know people that can't tell the time using an analog clock!
