Exclamation Welcome to the new model section!

Well i must say that Jim O, works with incredible speed. And thanks to him
he has graciously given us our very own play room for our models.

This would not also be possible with out the incouragement of some great
guys i know, Paul, razorboy, Aussie Dave.

Thanks so much to all, and especially Jim (The Man)

Re: Welcome to the new model section!

I'll start with a Panzer IV, winter of '43 in Russia, a sniper has wounded one
of the men as they moved across a field.

Wow. That's some incredible good work. I wish I had a steady hand like this. Or talent like that.

Re: Welcome to the new model section!

Here are a few pictures of my 1/72 scale WWII RAF Hangar Diorama.

Its a BIG diorama and there is more to see on it, but I don't want to take over this thread with more pics of it.

Cheers,
Dave

That is AMAZING Dave!
When it comes to smaller scale I've always felt the bigger the dio. the better......I guess because it enables you to fit in more "Stuff". Great ground work - are those Woodlands Scenics trees? I particularly like the light on the corner of the Bomber Hangar - Perfect touch!
Great work Dave, Keep 'em coming.

Thanks Dave,

You bet mate, they are Woodlands Scenics trees, they cost me a small fortune with the number I needed.
(Trees are hard to make yourself.)

I built a 12 Volt DC lighting system into the hangar to add realism for night photos.

Besides the hangar's internal lights, it has three external lights.
(There is one light you can't see in the photo on the side of the hangar.)

The Diorama grew, it was less than half its pressent size, but I kept adding to it and needed more space.

Yeah I know there are aircraft from several different countries on it.
(This pic is only to give you an idea how big the diorama base is now.)

Cheers,
Dave
