hi, do members post in this section when for example discussing war crimes on both sides in the European theatre, for example Malmedy or Nemmersdorf?

Please Mr Moltke tell me more about the Allies atrocities. My Email is barrett.t@hotmail.com. I read a book written by Max Hastings, I do not like his politics but admire the man. He writes very well or in a style that I found absorbing.The book was Armageddon The battle for Germany 1944-45. In it he skirts over an incident in North Africa
where A New Zealand regiment murdered German soldiers in their sick beds at a army hospital in the desert. Also Red Berets at Arnheim murdered German soldiers who surrendered in revenge for being shot at while parachuting down. They were angry because they lost so many men because the jerrys had found the plans. Forgive me if a few details are wrong but the main jist is right its along time sinse I read the book. Tell me, did any one stand trial for these war crimes. Robert Macnamara, American official, said "we would have been hanged for war crimes if we had lost the war" for the fire bombing of Japan. The only justification for what happened that I have come across is "well they started it"
