Re: Groupbuild?

McCoy's having some great ideas...I like the 'over 25 years old' thing. I'm fine with public poll and no judges too... I reckon that any kit made with moulds over 25 years old should count.
As for restricting the builds to a WW2 time frame...well I'm not totally against that since it IS a WW2 website I'm pretty easy on it. I also think if someone wants to build...well whatever they like, it should be allowed too. Fun.
Crikey Dave...it'd easily take me 8 weeks to do an Airfix 1/72 Hurricane.

8 weeks - what do you do ? Carve an exact copy of the sprue parts out of cheese or something ? Or do you mean you spend 10 minutes at a time on it over an 8 week period ?

Nah...I suffer from perfectionism and I'm just really slow.

Re: Groupbuild?

It's better to be slow in buildin' than just plain slow...

Well that's better than me. I suffer from clumsiness and impatience - plus I'm just really slow too.

Re: Groupbuild?

How about this then?

1st Group Build = is open topic, anything from any peroid, you will have 6
months to complete it or them, no limit.

2nd Group Build = is a 8 week build, which will reacure every 8-10 weeks.
First build topic for this will be any kit that is at least 25 yrs old.

Ok is there any changes you guys would like?

Re: Groupbuild?

Sounds good to me. Should we make the 8 week build an OOtB build or should we allow third party parts?

LT, does this mean any time period and not restricted to WW2?

Re: Groupbuild?

I'm a beliver in making it look good as possible, so if someone desires
to use after market parts thats fine with me. Some of those old kits are
really bad and could probably use a little help.

My problem will be to just find a kit that old, as that leaves out Dragon.
I wonder if Monograms Pro Modeler series would be acceptable?
