Groupbuild?

Is there any interest in a future groupbuild here at the Zone?

Re: Groupbuild?

I can tell you right now, if we do it, its not gonna be 6 months long.
Just my opinion.

Re: Groupbuild?

I'd prefer it to be at least 2 months if I should be able to get done in time if I participate.

Re: Groupbuild?

McCoy, You stole my thunder. I was just about to post Group Build? when I saw this thread, bravo! I think 8 weeks is adequate, what do you think LT? The Moderator gets to pick the first topic of course.
I've already submitted the next topic to Duncan (which he has accepted) for the next ACG group build, not to be announced until THE MIDDLE OF MAY!
Let's get something cookin' over here in the mean-time, you've got enough "Big Guns" in the Zone to support a build, let's go for it. You set the parameters Chris, I'm with you.

Re: Groupbuild?

8 weeks would be good. Makes everyone get a move on.

Please don't make categories for those of us who are not that good either. There would be no incentive to learn or strive that bit more. I know this has been suggested elsewhere but it would miss the whole point.

Re: Groupbuild?

I'm a fan of the longer build myself. Maybe we could have two? An 8 week 'sprint' and a longer (6 months is great Chris!) 'larger project' build as a starting idea. I don't know how I'll go if we kick off soon though...may be too busy changing nappies (diapers) for a while. But I like the idea.

Re: Groupbuild?

Two simultanious builds is ok to me. The important thing isn't competition but encouraging each others along the way n' there shouldn't be different classes. Remember that we're in it for the fun of it.

Ten points to your score on that one

Maybe a couple of builds at once would give more people a chance to participate. My 1/72nd stuff can be a quick project so both shorter and longer would be good.
