Re: Group Build 8 week! 25 yr old kit! $$PRIZE

It'd be my pleasure MAGNA.
I've been to Albany and places around there and the Dandenongs couldn't be more different. We're actually scratching our collective heads a little and asking 'What drought?' because it rains almost every week, at least for a couple of hours. Of course what keeps the place green up here, doesn't always reach Melbourne itself or more importantly, the catchments.
Our garden (3/4 of an acre) is covered in dandelions and mushrooms at the moment...it looks like something out of Lord of the Rings.
Peace.

All of the Lilacs, Dogwoods and Choke Cherries are blooming, pretty colorful down here right now.

Here's the first pics of my "25 year old build" diorama. This is the basic AFV positioning on the base.

Driver figure and two Commander figures subject to change. Gonna' be a challenge to make them look right without that "PE Crutch" we've (myself included) become so fond of.

Cool! I hope the Commander on the right doesn't take a shell to the front...that's gonna hurt! And the other Commander looks like he has a whopper of a headache!

Hey, interesting base...are the holes drilled for placement of the dio material? Whatchya plannin'?

No actually the holes are from the brass plates that used to be there. It was a "Salesman of the Month" plaque from a job I had back in the 70's. When they closed I snagged it out of the dumpster and removed the plates. Knew it would come in handy one day. Only took me 30 years to finally use it, so here's to my Dear Wife, she called me a packrat for keeping it and said I'd never use it -
I'm planning on going thicker on the celluclay this time so there won't be any need for "Veggie holes". If it's thick enough, celluclay will support tall vegetation nicely.

Speaking of smoke, how are you doing RB?

I like your dio so far, is this a desert scene or Europe?
