Project Disaster continues!

This is in fact my very first kit conversion that I've made n' I don't have much experience of either Resin or PE (The Resin on my Tiger II is completely different as that didn't require sandin' n' replacin'/mixing kit parts).

But anyways, here's the current standin'...

Yes, it's putty. The kit is a real disaster n' the moulds must have seen better days long ago...

How long do you have to wait to allow the putty to cure before it can be sanded? And do you need to prime putty before you can apply paint (is it too porous without primer)?

The basic putty that I've used here is completely dry after one hour with a thickness of 1mm. I'ts better to prime but I think that it ain't neccesary to do so. I'm no master at all with putty so I'm tryin' my way here.
