Trail and Error experience is the best teacher.

I think it's looking pretty good McCoy. With some paint on it, it'll look even better. To be honest, the only pics that made me raise my eyebrow were the ones that showed the old Tamiya parts in all their softness...as you say, they're showing the age of the moulds. It's a shame because it's a beautiful kit otherwise. The PE looks great...I reckon it will come up better than you think it will mate. Great work.

True...once you have a solid coat on...primer or base coat...it'll look amazing. Can't wait to see it at that stage!

The ordeal continues as the build slowly advances towards it's conclusion that's gettin' nearer by the minute...

Roadwheels n' one set with boogies dry fitted.

The boogies completed.

The boogies plus idler n' return rollers in place.

Air intake grills in place over the radiators.

Looks great man. I knew a coat of paint would change things for you. I seem to remember that you had Friulmodel tracks for this beast. Is the sprocket included in that set as it often is? I look forward to seeing them in place...for me, track sag is a big part of the 'look' of WW2 armour. Best of luck mate.

Yes, the drivesprocket is indeed white metal as it was included with the Friulmodeltracks. The hard part is to get the right amount of tracksag, I'm probaly gonna need to remove one link as it is now.

I like the grillwork McCoy. Adds to the used look.
