I blu-tacked my turret over the mouth of an old jam jar. Aahh Blu-tack. Is there anything it can't do?

Folks, I think we found the official Fastest Modeller of the site! Rock on JJ!!! I love the pics you posted of the toothpaste method for whitewash. I've heard of it, but this is the first I've seen anyone demonstrate it...thanks for that....I really want to try that sometime! Did you blot the toothpaste on with your fingertip, or a brush (or other method)?

I may have mentioned that JJ was a modelling machine.

why thank you kind sir. i added the toothpaste using a paintbrush and dabbing it on. the secret of doing it quickly is to use a hairdrier to quicken up the curing of the tamiya paint and then you can wash the toothpaste off within 15 minutes of adding the paint.

I've made a start on the Brukenleger. After 3 hours and 142 parts later (each boogie has 11 parts and there are 8 sets of boogies) here is what i've done so far

I decided against the individual track links. The rubber band type are really good so with some superglue on the return roller, I got the result I wanted.

what i didn't realise was this kit has a complete drivers compartment that includes absolutely everything and it's a pleasure to build. i know that when the model is completed, it won't be seen but it's such a joy to build. i've taken a few pics of it.
