Text formatting?

Hello everyone.
How do I activate the text formatting button when I am writing a post?
It seems dormant here.

I'm not sure what you are asking, but if what you are looking for is the WYSIWYG text editor, it is disabled. I did that quite awhile back because several posters were cutting and pasting from other applications (like Word) and the text would come in as black (among other things like losing paragraph breaks) and be difficult to read on this color background.

You can get all of the same functions in the current editor, but in order to see the final formatting you will need to use the "Preview Post" button.
