A. 2 fist fights in our parking lot this morning before the sale
B. A female employee got punched in the face by a "lady" customer for not giving her the LAST two Xbox360 consoles, she (our emplyee) handed out the last two to the last two customers in the mile long line, one each. And our co-worker served in that certain "little" conflict a year ago, nice way for the US citizens to show their appreciation, don't you think....
C. An older lady who was an aunt of another worker in the store was shopping, had some kind of heart attack and dropped to the floor. And the mob of people right next to her you ask what they might have done in reaction......? Ya, they raided her friggin shopping cart of the 4 hour while supplies last items, then just stepped over her to get further into the store before some brave soul actually contacted the emergancy team.....
That was my day/night.
You guys know where I work so I won't post it and you guys please don't either by the way, thanks.
A very dissappointed, but not to surprised Tom, I hope your day here on Black Friday was better than mine, to say the least.
I'm "done" with any human contact for the night!!!

The worse of human kind can be found at sales. My wife talked me into doing the Black Friday thing once to see what it was like.
Never again. I have seen less chaos at prison riots.

And did you here about the girl who was pregnant, got trampled and lost her child. Also working somewhere in the US at the time on Friday. I wonder what chain store actually started this one (Black Friday) up way back when, any ideas?
I should know this one from being in retail so long, but I don't know myself, I've heard everything from Macies to K-Mart..... not sure here.
Back to work for me, only a couple more days left and I can have a day off!!!
We broke our sales record so the bonus should be a bit better, just under 1 million for the day. At least that's something, I guess.

I ended up finally talking to the girl who was hit and she said she was OK, "no big deal", just a small bruise and scratch or so I saw. I'm thinking that her mind is on her next deployment, next month over "there", which I did'nt know until the talk today. She is one of the fearless Army drivers who truck in the gas and ammo for the troops, I thought it was just basic supplies, but she told me today about what she actually does, WOW.
All I can say is that I wished her the best of luck and a good 2nd journey over there, and a safe return!!
Cheers my dear, your one tough young lady!!!
All the best
Tom
