A friend from Thialand sent me these pics of the Moon-Venus-Jupiter show. Pretty cool.

Beautiful. I saw it Sunday night under perfectly clear skies. Monday night, the best viewing night, a heavy fog rolled in and we couldn't see anything.

Great pics, thanks!

It made the local news...mainly because of the 'smiley'...how cute.
Venus and Jupiter are still visible here.
Peace.

Here on the other side of the globe it was the reverse, with the moon above Venus and Jupiter. It was quite a sight, even if not a smiley-face. We had a perfect view in our backyard in the southwest sky on Monday night.

It was like that here two nights ago too. Five years until it happens again.
Peace.

Salutations Geek44

As a backyard astonomy nerd it was facinating, i am lucky as my backyard can is some places be totally exclusive of ambient light making the night sky very dark.
