Well, I was the proud recipient of a cash award last week, and what was my first thought? TANKS!!!!

I placed a rather large order for Old Glory Command Decision through Warweb.com today, and I'm very excited at filling in a lot of blank holes in my 15mm WWII OOB! I knew I wanted to get something from Warweb while they had their 40% off sale once again, and was planning on a pack of M4A4 Shermans, a pack of Churchill MK VIIs, and a pack of 105mm Howitzers....would have been a $40 more or less. Instead, I spent about 6 times that! Oooooops!

:applause: Here's what I ordered:

2 x M4A4 Sherman (3/pkg) (CD-134) = $26.40
1 x M4A3(76) HVSS inc M4A3 EA - easy eight Sherman (3/ (CD-220D) = $13.20
1 x 105mm Howitzer (6/pkg) (CD-234) = $8.40
1 x 57 mm AT Guns (6 / pack) (CD-205A) = $8.40
1 x 17pdr AT Guns (4 firing, 2 limber) (CD-104A) = $8.40
1 x Archer 17pdr SPAT (3/pkg) (CD-118) = $14.39
2 x Churchill MK VII (3 / pack) (CD-101) = $26.40
1 x Cromwell C.S. 95mm Howitzer (3 / pack) (CD-100A) = $13.20
1 x Dingo - Scout Car (4/pkg) (CD-128) = $8.40
1 x Dorchester Armored Command Vehicle (3/pkg) (CD-124) = $13.20
1 x Jagdtiger (3/pkg) (CD-326) = $15.60
1 x Pak 38,50mm AT guns (4 fitting, 2 limbered) (CD-307) = $8.40
1 x Pak 40,75mm AT guns (4 fitting, 2 limbered) (CD-307A) = $8.40
1 x Panther D (3/pkg) (CD-306) = $15.60
2 x Pz1V H (3/pkg) (CD-302) = $26.40
1 x Sdkfz 234/2 Puma Armoured Car (3/pkg) (CD-313) = $13.20

When they come in, I'll make sure to post pics here of them with a shot of before and after!!!

My last order took two weeks...no problem; my order was mostly Infantry. I actually hope they extend the sale, my young 'un decided he likes Russians....shouldn't have let him watch "Enemy at the Gates" :applause:

Haa haaaaa.....good Lad, that one! Get him hooked as a hopeless Grognard like the rest of us, and he'll be just fine! Building a Russian OOB wpould be a lot of fun, too!

Yeah, my last order took about that long too, and I had checked via email with the owner oof the company, who got back to me real quick; they do a lot of conventions and shows, and they were fairly closed down when I had placed my order, but they were right on top of it and apologetic.....and truly there was no need for apologies, as that's good business practice getting out to the cons and shows and meeting customers! Honestly, I have had orders take a lot longer to ship from other vendors, and nary a word or response from my inquiries of what's up....so I give KUDOS and high recommendation to Warweb and the folks that man the battlestations there!

On a side note: I was a bit bored with the television last night, but too lazy to pick up a book, so I started surfing the channels. Came across "PATTON 360" on one of the military channels, and it was an episode I hadn't seen before (the PATTON 360 series are phenominal, BTW...as are all the "360" series), and it was basically on the failed attempt of Patton to send a rescue mission to liberate a POW camp deep in enemy territory, that coincidentally (?) held his Son-in-Law. Well, they showed some of the best footage of Sherman "Easy Eights" I have ever seen!!! Really got an idea how they move and fire. Beautiful machine!!! I had 5 "Easy Eights" in my Axis & Allies Minatures collection, but they were the small scale units that Wizards of the Coast issued before their much lauded (and justly fan-complained about) 15mm up-scale epiphany. Loved Loved Loved the tank; HATED the scale. Well, I bought a package of "Easy Eights" on my forst Warweb "Command Decision" order, but have not built them yet; and I ordered another pack as an afterthought in this order.....I was feeling REAL generous to myself, and saw them on the webpage and figured, "Ahhhh, what the heck!". man, am I glad I did! I will now have 6 "Easy Eights" to strike terror into the Axis heart in many a game to come!!!
