He is an "English Cream Golden Retriever". These are more typical European style Goldens with bigger bone structure and big block-heads. They are often extremely light to white, hence the "cream" reference. They are truly just standard Goldens, but they are often frowned upon here in the US where the color can be a disqualification. Nevertheless, I think they are quite beautiful.
He hails from a Russian pairing. His mother is from Russian and other eastern European champion lines, and his father is Dutch owned, but hails from German, Dutch, French, and English lines. Both are shown in, and champions in, Russia. Well, the mother is now owned by a breeder in California.
We're going to tentatively name him Maxim, a popular Russian boy's name, and we'll probably call him Max. He's a bit over six weeks, and will ship to us when he's eight weeks. I'm stoked. I do plan to show him, and perhaps breed him if the demand is there.
