Ate a big burger at Red Robin and got a Blu-ray disc player (which I think they may well enjoy more than I will).

Thanks for the wishes.

Although it has nothing to do with regular school sports, or the regular season...

A number of high schools in our area are running a summer hockey program, just for fun. My son's HS is fielding two varsity and a JV team. He tried out for the JV team, but was put on one of the varsity teams! Directly, it will mean nothing for the regular season, but it's a good chance for the coach to watch him work and skate. I'm not sure who was more surprised, him or his parents (he's good, but not good, if'n ye catch my meaning), but he's stoked! That was a great Dad's Day gift!!!

Getting here late, but I had a quiet day and got a nice gift certificate for models from my daughter.

Happy (belated) first Father's Day from someone who just had his 21st. Fatherhood only gets better.

Well that was better than my first Father's Day, 18 years ago. I took my son out for a walk and ran into a bunch of drunken fools that wanted to start a fight with me. Fortunately I was able to diffuse the situation, but it did none the less ruin my morning.

Well here we are a year later! Happy Father's Day all you dads! I'm enjoying the day, all week actually, alternately sitting at the pc and laying on the floor wincing in pain. Sciatica. This is about a 9.5 on the 1 to 10 pain list, just below gout which would be a 15.5 on the same scale. :rofl2:

Anyway hope you all have a great day with your kids. Fire up the grills and grab a cold one! :rofl2:
