[Double Deuce]

Tankovy Co, small problem here, there is a Hen and Chick rule in place, so all of the two types of T-34s have to be in a 6 inch command range of each other, no splitting of this Co. Secondly, IF they move over 6 inchs, NONE of them can fire....... The Bagration book out in a couple months may improve things here, but until then, that is what you have to work with.
So an alternate plan by you might be.......

CORRECTED ORDERS
Board B, Russian section 10 and 11;
The whole Tankovy Co will concentrate on moving onto Board B, Section 10 then. The 5x T-34's will head toward the wooded area (left side of board), trying to stay in a tight wedge formation. The 5x T-34/85's will move to the right side of Board B, Section 10 heading toward the "Hill" area, also trying to stay in a tight wedge formation. They will not crest themselves but move more to a reverse slope defense.

The reason for the H&C is because there is the quantity of Russian tanks per Co, so to make things "fair" FoW put that in there for even fights as well as the supposed lack of good commanders, radios, you know, one of the rules I've been fighting over the years with Battlefront.......

Here is the first (and only if you want) 12 inch move, everyone is in command, you have no targets and the enemy can't see you........ You are just putside the Russian village.

T=34/85s are on the lower part, going to the "hill", and the regular T-34s are going to the forest in the middle??

Yes, do the double move and push them forward in the same direction and formation as you can.

I just rolled for your reserves, and they were about as bad as the Germans, so like them you get nothing coming in, sorry buddy!!

I think I covered everything.

Board B, Russian section 4;
No moving anyone. Surviving units fire at the closest enemy units. Concentrate fire on any visible Infantry. The Mortars will again target any clustered infantry in the area just across the river, preferably near the building (and the dead KV-2).

Board B, Russian section 5;
The SU-122 continues to stay put and will target the heaviest German armor visible in front to the bridges defensive positions. Everyone else who can will fire at the closest enemy units concentrating on enemy armor (if they have a choice between armor or Inf targets they go for the armor).

Board B, Russian section 6;
Everyone who can will fire at the closest enemy units concentrating on the German Infantry (clustered near the hill to their direct front) including surviving armor.

Board B, Russian section 10 and 11;
The Russian armor continues to move (doublepace) forward with their left flank elements keeping the the right of the hill.

Board B, Russian section 12;
The God of War Co will fire indirect on Board B, Russian section 6 using the building (and the dead KV-2) as TRPs (target just beyond the building and to the left).

Interesting, the only problem I can see is the GoW battery can only use the spotter/or direct fire from any of its guns or commander in line of sight from the target area. OR the Co Commander again (red flag dude up front), Co has a 1+ to range in, but last time it was +2 because they were moving (your arty) onto the battlefield.

Russian Board B, section 4 fire results



The remaining Russian infrantry wants to get some payback from the last rounds fired by the FJ's. Most of their line of sight was blocked by various terrain, but 3 shots are hits by the inrfantry, results are two more German Para's gone.




The heavy mortar squad took a hit when they lost their one and only spotter last round, so their line of sight is also hindered, but they can target some of the FJ's as well, one hit, but those tough guys survive with a great infrantry saving through, but they are pinned again. That is about half of the platoon gone now, so they are VERY close to a morale check here folks.

STAVKA will continue after he gets done woth work tonight.

Board B, Russian section 5



The remaining Russian assault guns mean business!! All shots hit home, they thought about firing at the Panthers, but they know that front armour is just to tough for them with only a slim chance of a good penetration hit. But some very thin skinned vehicles are also around the battlefield.

The Pz IV takes a hit and just barely survives, it is bailed out.

2 of the Pioneer half-tracks are hit as well, one is bailed and the other one is a smoking wreck!!! OUCH, those count against the morale of the Pioneers, not just the Pioneer infrantry themselves.

That hummel is just to tempting of a target and is hit, but the paper thin armour must have deflected the shell somewhat, another bail, The assault gun missed its firepower role by 1.

The Germans were a bit lucky that all of the Russian foot squads mised their shots or the Germans saved with ease. UNTIL.......

The GoW battery spots them (using the Co Commander, so 3 Pioneer platoons are hit, and two go down for the count. I see a morale check here at the end of the turn here for them, but I hav'nt rolled it, yet.......

Board B, Russian section 6

Not to much going on over here, a couple of missed rifle shots, but the now unbailed Sherman takes two shots at the Jagdpanzer and one is a hit. Onec again the German armour lead a charme life (so far) and only has to jump out of the hit tank hunter, wondering if they hould try to jumpp back in next time (turn)

OK comrade, I moved the Tankovy Ba "at the double", but not the full 24 inchs........ I will put some of Board B and A together tonight after work so you can better see what I did and why. Let me know if you want to change anything here on the T-34s and T-34/85's as to their placement, otherwise it will stand as is.

REMEMBER, Germans get double their normal rate of fire if they can see a moving at the double unit.

These are the Panthers that have a line of sight on most of your T-34s, and the range as well, that is 14 shots they can take at your Tankovy Ba buddy.

I sent an E-Mail to Mike, so if I don't here of any counter orders on the Tankovy movement, I will run this as is and it will be Magna's turn here for the Germans.

STAVKA had some good luck in getting some much needed reserves, 3 of em' to be specific!!!

Board A Russian section 11



5 shiny new SU 85s rated as Fearless Trained to.

Stats

Fully tracked so 12 inch normal movement
Armour - Front 5, Side and rear 2, top of 1
Gun stats - Range 32 inchs, Rate of fire when stationary 2, Anti-tank rating of 12 (nice!!), Firepower of 3. Seems like these might be Panther killers to me.... Panthers armour is 10 front, side 5 and 1 top.

Next we get inBoard A Russian section 10 is......



1 full Company of Rifle/MG Strelkovy, that's 27 squads plus Commander, Commissar and 2 Maxim MG stands. To pin these guys, you have to have a minimum of 10 hits in a turn!!!

Tankovy Co gets back in their armour as well. See, it can pay to be Fearless and get 3+ or better to pass a motivation check!! Germans are Confident Vets, so they need 4's to do that!!

Ok guys, IF Mike (DD) does'nt come back here to the game in a couple days, I'll have PanzerBob run the Russians until he does. I beleave Bob will be ready to go by Tuesday night maybe after his trip.....??

Cheers, oh, that 3rd reserve Platoon that came in, are ya wondering yet....?? LOL. It is somewhere, I wonder if it could be in ambush somewhere, it makes ya think, especially the German Commander!!!

That other item to the center left of the T-34 is the first objective that the Russians are defending, and the Germans need to take!!!
