When I saw this for the first time, I thought it was a bad joke.But it seems that WB did similar cartoons too.

Yes, it's was used as WWII propoganda, some of them are very good, I especially liked "Hitler's Children" and "Herr Meets Hare".

I think that one is very much OK:

Did you notice Stalin and Molotov as "Gremlins"? This was the reason for the ban! What a shame!

I'm not sure they really banned as it's said on youtube, I know some of the other cartoon were released on DVD.

I don't know for a fact but they may have been banned by censors during the war when Stalin was US "ally".
