George Carlin 1937-2008

It's not really a joke, but somehow it seems appropriate to mention it here. I just learned that Carlin died last night.

I have no idea what the age range of his fans is, but it's wide for sure. My kids have seen him as Mr. Conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine, and Fillmore in Cars. I've listened to him for years. If you paid attention, he could really make you think about life.

My favorite bit has always been Indian Sergeants. However, he is probably best known for his Seven Dirty Words You Can Never Say on Television. Classic.

RIP, George!

That is very sad news.

I loved his stuff, his spoof on the differences between Football and Baseball is a true classic. And of course those seven words I can't mention.

One of my favorites, a sad day for me. Do you guys remember "Al Sleet" the Hippy-Dippy weatherman??

"Tonights outlook, Dark! Continued dark for most of the evening and changing to widely scattered light towards morning!"

RIP in George

Truely one of the greats, comedy with a philosophical bite. I remember his hosting of the new comedy skit show Saturday Night Live in 1975.

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.

Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.

Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.
