Dooms Day flicks

With in the last 2 months i have seen move dooms day flicks made than
in the last 30 years or so. Here is my list of what i've seen.

1. The Mist - I really liked this one of Stephen Kings

2. I am Legend - Will Smith did well, i thought the sub humans were too CGI

3. Cloverfield - Other than alot of camera shaking going on, loved it.

4.Resident Evil Extinction - about the same as the first two, entertaning.

5. Sunshine - About sun dying, with astronauts trying to save the day

So is Dollywood gearing up for the final 2012? Or is this just a fad with
them and next year it will be superheros or something?

Independence Day


People just seem to love movies that involve the world's destruction or near destruction.

Those movies were very popular in the 80ies and early 90ies. But for the last ten years there were hardly any big budget productions. Except for "Waterworld" and "Postman". And we all know how they did at the boxoffice. Altough I liked both very much.
