My Metal Lunchbox Collection!

Okay, first up is this 1964 Fireball XL5 lunchbox with original thermos! As you fellow boxers well know, it's often harder to find the bottle than the box, and when you get a box with it's bottle, it's a bonus, especially for something that is 44 years old. The condition of this box is probably C6, and the bottle would have been a C8, but it's missing the cup, so back to a C6 I'm guessing. Inside is pretty clean and rust free, not a bad find. This is from Gerry Anderson's tv show, a couple of years before Thunderbirds.

I'm old enough to have carried those things to school as a kid. It's hard to imagine...

It was an early 1960's British made sci-fi children's show. See Wikipedia reference-linkFireball XL5.

Neat stuff Troy. Up until recent years, I had my old Harlem Globetrotters Cartoon metal lunchbox. It still had it's thermos and cup.....but it was dented. I used it to put the smackdown on the school bully one day in 3rd grade. It was at my parent's house but they dont know where it went.

Very cool! Lunch boxes ruled!!! I too carried the tin beuaties around as a lad. I loved my Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea box. I think I had a COMBAT! one too...and must take a gander for one sometime. I'm almost afreaid, though, as I know how collectable these things are...I fear I could sink some serious $$$ into a group of baxes...man, my wife would love that (NOT)!

Here is a more recent one, my 2005 Blondie 'hatbox' lunchbox. Blondie was hot!
