Happy Birthday!

Well, well, well. What have we here? Lancer44 turned "half-a-century".

So he will soon change his screenname into "Lancer50"

Happy birthday old man! I hope you enjoy your day.

You haven't lied about your age, just to be more cool and hip, have you?
We would talk to you, even "if" you turned 60.

Regards,

Klaus

Re: Happy Birthday!

Hi Klaus,

Thank you very much! Very nice of you...

Shall I send you the scan of my driving licence? No mate, I'm 50 and I dont feel like that at all!!!!!
Appetite for young females and some drinks is still here!

As my business travels may hook into Austria and Germany next year, we may arrange together some "chasing of wild women"... What do you think?

I will really celebrate Saturday, today just a couple of drinks with my son and we right now drink toast to "your heealth" dear Klaus! .... and next one will be for all members of this Forum!

Cheers,

Lancer44

P.S.

My nick is because my father was a lancer and in 1944 he spent almost the whole year at the frontline like most of blokes from his 1921 year of birth.

P.S. 2

I don't think you know that in Poland generation of 1921 is called "Columbs" generation. I think this apply to all belligerents of WWII.
Not many people nowadays understand the real meaning of it...

Christopher Columb started his travel trying to reach India. He never get there. Instead he landed in completely New World.
He never reached his destination. So people born in 1921 drafted to the army in 1939... It apply to Poles, Germans, Brits, Americans, Australians, Austrians....to all nations involved.

Sorry for this off topic...

Re: Happy Birthday!

In that case I'm looking forward to next year. I'll show you the countryside and hot females. Could be fun.

I've never heard of that columbus thing. Strange.

Indeed. I don't feel old...except when I realize that the pretty young girl at the end of the bar was born after I grauduated from school.

Interesting analogy. My father was born in 1918 and his brothers in 1921 and 1924, and all were in uniform during that time, and all three made it back to where they started, but it was a "new world" after the war. Of course this was much more so the case in Europe than over here. But even here things had changed. The economic depression had turned into a huge expansion; people had jobs and money and could buy things, and then the babies started to come. Babies like you and me and probably Klaus's father too.

OK, enough stuff. This is your
