I'm not even going to try to explain how Hollywood thinks ideas are worth sinking several millions of dollars into a project.

I agree, and from the looks of it... No "moral lesson" to this one... If it had one of those "Disney" type moments where they would remember the Vietnam vets, maybe bring attention back to them... but I don't even see that small gesture here...
