My FAVORITE thing grilled is whole tuna, over a wood fire. Then dip it in a mix of calamansi juice an soy sauce.
I like catching the tuna almost as much, but ye who live far from the coast would have a hard time doing that...
Yes they ARE fun to catch...I went Tuna fishing with my Pa-in Law, and Bro-in-law once....they are a blast to catch, and even BETTER to eat!

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

I'm like Jim O, i don't ever stop grilling, i built a covered awning over my deck
so i could do it year round. I grill ever week, usually this is on Sunday and
i do enough for 5 lunches and two dinners. This would be just chicken.

I eat a chicken salad everyday except weekends. Here's the recipe, real
simple. In a freezer size plastic baggie put all your skinless chicken in along
with about a 1/2 a bottle of Italian dressing and let it marinate over night.

This will not only taste good but keep the chicken from drying out too much
on the BBQ.

I grill other goodies as well, but this is my weekly tradition.

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

That is the first time I feel "new" to this forum. But I guess I am not supposed to understand something that includes green eggs. Thinking about it...I don't wanna know.

My favourite recipe for marinade:

Olive Oil (without that spinach junkie)
mustard
balsamico vinegar
peppronchini (loads of 'em)
honey
lemon
thyme
Portwine

I know how it sounds, but it is really good. But if you are from the english speeaking part of the world you are propably used to that kind of recipe.

Klaus, google "Dr. Seuss" He was a well known author of childrens books, for kids of all ages. Green Eggs and Ham is a classic, with a hidden message...

Then there's The Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, Horton Hears a Who, and the list goes on... When you read them to your children, there are some serious tongue-twisters in there!!!

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

I know Dr. Seuss. Mainly from the movies I have to admit. He is not that well known in Austria (can't speak for Gtermany) when it comes to childrens books. I believe reading it in german will take out the fun of the toungetwisters.

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

Actually, "The Big Green Egg" is a favorite topic of one of our members here. I'm hoping to lure him into this thread with it.

Is it working?
