Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but at mine robins are showing up, bear are waking up and days are getting warmer and longer.

Who has a favorite grilling recipe?

Did grilling season end?

It's always grilling season here.

Well if it would stop RAINING we might could dig out the grill......

My FAVORITE thing grilled is whole tuna, over a wood fire. Then dip it in a mix of calamansi juice an soy sauce.

I like an early start. So long as I don't have to shovel it out, it gets lit.

I like catching the tuna almost as much, but ye who live far from the coast would have a hard time doing that...

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

I just grilled this weekend. I tried out a new marinade. After letting the meat marinade for six hours (6!!! have they gone nuts?!) we finally managed to get some food on our tables at 10 pm. Meat was good. Altough I caught a cold while grilling it. But my girlfriend said I looked especially manly outisde in the fu***** cold, so I was satisfied.

It has one plus BBQing in the cold. Your beer doesn't get warm no matter how long you are busy.

Yours *cough* Klaus

Re: Grill Season is Almost Upon Us...

Several years ago, I had been recently assigned to MCAS Cherry Point. Some friends came over one night, when we all lost out power. We sat for quite a while bemoaning the lack of electricity, the cold, and our growing hunger. Finally my wife realized, "We have a grill, dummy!" The four of us fought over who was going to grill the food, then we gave up and all stayed out there!
