Re: Members Art
'Bubba' was started in 2003 and is stil not finished. Probably never will be either. There's also this.
![]() This is called 'Fundamental-case' ![]() This is a detail from 'Smoko' above. For those that don't know, I used to work as a graphic designer until the wankers in the industry drove me insane. I just got sick of hearing how 'talented' and 'gifted' all these mediocre corporates were. Since then, I've had three exhibitions and sold quite a bit of work over the years, so I don't have much left to show. I haven't picked up a pencil or brush for five years now. Too busy modelling. I still draw 100 train locomotives a day for my son though...just to keep my hand in. One day, I'll get back to it. More later. Peace.

Re: Members Art
'Waiting for Bubba' kind of reminds me of edvard Munch's "Skrik" or (hopefully the correkt translation) "the scream".
You got quite a talent there. I like the, as mentioned above, "Waiting for Bubba" very much. The colors and the perspective are very well chosen in my opinion. But don't let the compliments get to your head. You still need both of your ears. ![]() Let's see some more.

Re: Members Art
Thanks Klaus. Any comparison to Munch is a great compliment...I'm a big fan. Thankfully, I'm not nearly as unhappy as he was. BTW the translation is correct. We know it as 'The Scream'. What a masterpiece it is.
Peace.

Re: Members Art
To be honest I was to lazy to look the name up on an english site. I just translated it from german. But as it seems luck was on my side.

Re: Members Art
Thank you for sharing Nick. I had the same thought as Klaus did...well actually it took my brain a moment of "What is it that that painting brings to mind?". Just showing my age I suppose.
More!

Re: Members Art
Excellent work Geek.
I'm not really one for modern art myself but good colouring on the Bubba pic. I really like the effect in the Eject picture as well. Have you ever tried Painter ? A top of the range program and one you would handle really well judging by what you have shown us here. As a suggestion. you might want to send Whiterook a copy of Fundamental-case to show him what is going to happen if he keeps sniffing those boxes. |
