Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
Sounds like a lot of the 'new' shows were getting down here. Very little actual content but tons of recapping and repetitive explanations of things most ordinary people grasped in the first thirty seconds. I watched a US made documentary about the Bermuda Triangle last week and it was made to accommodate double the amount of commercials we usually have. It was a CBS made thing I think and the host was really irritating. Seemed to think I was an illiterate baboon and spoke to me accordingly. In a two hour documentary, I only learned three things.
1. Bimini is in the Triangle. 2. There are around 20 ship disappearances a year (!). 3. There's a secret navy base on the coast of Florida with an artificial channel to accommodate submarines.

That's no sweat Tom...you won't be recapping what I watched with my own eyes five minutes ago and I doubt you'll dumb it down for me so please go right ahead.

Ghost Hunters, Season 1, Episode 1.
Pop this one in and you first get a somewhat intro and "song", that is what I thought when first seeing it, but for 20 bucks, maybe I would let a laugh for my money......It goes right into an E.V.P. investigation on the first house in El Tuna Penn. Just a couple basic questions, and I must admitt that I was a little bit intreiged by then, beleave it or not!! Then a "flashback" on the Ghost Hunters every day lives and introductions, and IN a BOWLING ALLEY. Been there myself, just like them hangin' with friends and family, it was down to earth and very real, at least to me anyways. Jason and Grant came across as regular people you might meet next door or at the market....or a bowling alley. The Atlantic Paranormal Society is now on the t.v. map.The show then cuts again to their day job, you guessed it, Roto Rooter guys!! A very normal job they spend some minutes showing, yep, just like the average person in their own job, if you were filming them, or yourself in your job I bet!! Cheers, more later Tom |

For the first 10 minutes or so, yes, but they got the intro on the main Ghost hunters spot on, as to what they are really like, just "everyday" people. That was critical to me, so you can really beleave the "other" things to come!!
Cheers Tom |
