Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
I watch that show...or one just like it..... the odd time. I enjoy it but have to wonder sometimes, if the ghost hunters get that scared why do they do it??
I must admit that I would likely freak out very early. LOL I have always figured, if it bleeds, I have a fighting chance. Ghosts as far as I know don't bleed.

Was it the one with Jason and Grant as the lead investigators? If not, that other show, I think, "scary places in the world" is a joke!!
I did'nt even know it was on til early last year, I just saw it at Best Buy for 20 bucks for the first season, so I thought, " what the hell" it's pretty cheap, and probably something stupid, but best buy had no war movies that I did'nt already have!! After that, I counted the days until the next in the series was on t.v and out to buy, some very cool, wild and interesting stuff. And to me, it seems real, as do the ghost hunter teams!! Cheers, thanks for the reply Pylon. Tom |

Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
I gave it a shot last year, the guys are interesting but other than that
its just a bunch of BS. They have never seen a ghost, and get scared in the dark or if the air gets cold.

Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
I caught the marathon they ran on that show a few months back. It was real interesting at first, but then I realized most of they shows were pretty much the same.
They go someplace, set up equipment, overreact, take down equipment, and admit they found nothing. Every so often they have some interesting historical back story to where they are, but not enough in my opinion to carry a show.

Most of the others, yes, but Jason and Grant? I really don't think so, they seem to be the real deal to me.
Lets see here, have you seen the one that the camera guy got knocked over in the Armoury, season 1? The Plantation one with the night heat shot of a full body "something" from season 2, part one? Then some "attacks" on Jason and Grant that left marks on them, can't quite remember the season..... What makes it real to me is the way MOST of the shows go, they investigate and listen to the people who think they have problems. And you can tell by Jasons and Grants expressions that they think they wil really find, very "influenced, preconcieved" people who say they see something, or the people who want publisity for their business for a lot of it. But there are a couple that do seem very real, and they show it, as well as the "regualr" ones. Those E.V.P.s they get on the tape recorders can be pretty wild to! Most are "what the frack did it "say"", but a few are pretty clear, and actually reply to questions. ![]() You really have to see the whole season (any o them) to get the total picture here I think. Just my opinion, I'm not "crazy" or "ghost happy", I've never really thought of this one way or the other until I startd watching the shows, just so you know. Cheers, there is 'something to it" I think, what exactly, I have no idea, yet!! Thanks for the post, at least a couple here have seen at least on episode or so, and that is a big plus. Tom |

Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
We had a similar show a few years ago. They'd go to old orphanages and prisons and freak out at the slightest noise (mice) or temperature change (breeze). I won't say there's nothing in it...there's weird stuff everywhere. I've never seen a ghost or anything similar, but I have seen no fewer than four UFOs over the years. Dunno what they were...maybe ordinary stuff, but interesting nonetheless.

Quote:
My problem with Ghost Hunters is half the 25 minutes (minus commercials) is spent setting up or packing away equipment, or watching other people watching monitors. If there's a hook for God's sake get to it, and spend more than the last two minutes explaining it. Besides if I wanted to want to watch a bunch of New England country boys travel to jump out of their skins at strange sounds in the dark, I'd move back to Brooklyn and see it all live outside my window.

Re: Ghost Hunters, anyone else a fan here?
Tom, I don't mean to trash the show, because I do watch it from time to time, but you seem up on it and I thought I read somewhere that the two lead paranormal investigators work for Roto Rooter during the day?
Not that there is anything wrong with that, if true. I was just wondering.
