Is it just me!!!

OK, my wife and I are having a "discussion" that popped up the other day while she observed me eating Doritos.

Has anyone else ever used the dog as a hand towel?

I mean in an emergency. As in nothing else handy, you don't want to get from the TV, and your fingers tips are cheesy?

I like to lick my fingers and get the rest of the cheese. But, I do like the dog idea and may run with it!

Isn't that part of what dogs are for?

I usually just lick my fingers and then just wipe them on my shirt. I figure my shirt is cleaner than the dog, at least until I wipe it for the first time.

I never use the doggie towel. She knows better than to come too close when I'm eating.

I just yell at my wife and ask her to bring me a napkin. You can guess how well that goes over.

For some reason, I spend a lot of time on the sofa.

Heather, works best if you have two dogs. After you use them they clean each other. Its a win, win, win situation!

Totally mate but less obviously than you seem to be doing it. The only trouble now is that our dog is so geriatric, putrid, blind, deaf and arthritic that my hand always comes away dirtier...I've started on the kids.

I too have used the "child towel" years back. But now that Sabrina is in her 30s she sorta frowns upon the practice. Besides, she doesn't visit nearly often enough to be of any real use.
