Re: Why is it dark at night?

Never mind. it was a mathematical joke - if that.

In reality though, what I am reading is that although there is plenty of light bowling around we just don't get enough of it ?

What would the darkness be like without our own sun ? Would we still get enough to see a bit at night if ours was switched off from evening to morning or would it be pitch black ?

Re: Why is it dark at night?

I doubt it would be pitch black at a guess, but reading would be hard.

Sorry - I was assuming you would have seen F-Troop at some stage. My avatar is Corporal Agarn. Dobbs was the bugler and whenever he said anything cheeky Agarn would say what I said.

No matter though - I hadn't thought of reading.....

Re: Why is it dark at night?

I knew your avatar was an F-Troop character, but that was one of the oldies that didn't appeal to me. I didn't watch that or Gomer Pyle or Hogan's Heroes much.
Would you believe...Get Smart was a favourite though.

"I find that hard to believe Mr. Smart".

The common thing in all good comedies. Resident idiot.

Re: Why is it dark at night?

Max and 99 face a the edge of a cliff while fleeing Hans Hunter. The opposite edge is tantalizingly close...but they're weighing their options.

99; 'How far to the bottom Max?'

Max; 'About a half a mile...'

99; 'Max, if you took a run up, how far do you think you could jump?'

Max; 'About a half a mile...'
