Re: Dream vacation!

As long as I am with my wife it would be great. But if we had the means to stay at any hotel, eat at any resturant, and travel by any means we please, that would be the bomb.

But for some reason, I always thought of visiting Kiel to see U-1.

Re: Dream vacation!

I would like to go to England for a while and see HMS Victory, the Bovington Tank Museum, and the War Museum as well as a few castles.

Then it would be off to the US to visit Aberdeen and a few of you guys - plus a couple of game of model conventions.

If they ever sell me the right Lotto ticket I'll be there. I tell them which one I want but they never seem to understand.

Re: Dream vacation!

I would start in Boston with tickets to watch the Sox play from the Green Monster. An around the world ticket would be in order with the following stops:

1. 2 weeks in Ireland - Dublin, Galway, Donnegal, a bunch of small town pubs
2. 2 weeks in Italy - give me a villa in Tuscany and a driver
3. Stopover in Dubai - R&R in that 6-star Sail-shaped hotel
4. 1 week in India - Taj, baby, Taj
5. 1 week in Thailand - not sure, but I'll find something good
6. 1 week in Vietnam - see above
7. 2 weeks in Papua New Guinea - Kakoda Trail
8. 2 weeks in Peru - Macha Pichu, then over to Lake Titicaca
9. 1 week in Guatemala - Tikal

That pretty much sums it up. There were some more places, but there's no need to be greedy. After all, you can have more than one dream vacation!
