Favorite Car

Out of all of the cars you've owned, which was your favorite?
Here's mine - 1972 Mustang Mach 1. This is not my car but is identical to the one I had, paint, decals, wheels and all! I had mine from 1976 through 1978 and now I wish I'd never gotten rid of that 'stang!

You can also list the cars or trucks you'd like to own, or just show off what you have had, have now or plan to have. I've got some real junk in my vehicle history but I ain't so proud that I won't share that too!

Re: Favorite Car

I still miss my first car n' so far my overall most drivable car. As soon I got behind the steerin' wheel on it a big grin from ear to ear erupted n' the horns grew in my forehead.

I present you all the Fiat 132-2000 '79, twincam, aluminium cylindertops, weber 38, rear wheel drive with great roadholdin' charachters (for a driver who was familiar with her, 'cos she was hard to drive when you're not used to drive her). She rev'ed n' rev'ed, the red marking started at 6200 rpm n' you could just go on n' rev 'til 7500-8000. Inside there was comfort that mattered with electrical sidewindow elevators n' sunshields that disapered in the roof when not in use n' that you just pulled down plus the fact that you also had such pulldown sunscreens at the doors. When you looked at the instrumentaion there was just one thing that really mattered n' that was the Revmeter that was big n' perfectly visible in the middle of it all. She was fast for her day. I once drove her at 180km/h n' 0-100 km/h just took a mere 9.3 seconds. I miss her a lot.

Mine did look like this ones but her colour was winered.

Re: Favorite Car

God, I wish I had hung on to my baby...

1969 Dodge Charger R/T

I pulled this photo off the web because all the family pics are packed away during the remodel.

Mine was metalic mid-nite blue with baby moons and beauty rings on the front and Iron Cross mags on the rear. She had a 383 with a Holly four barrel Street Dominator carb and absolutely gorgeous details.

I bought it used but pampered in 1971 and sold it in 1975 when the gas shortage hit. I just saw one on the web no where near as nice selling for 36K!!!

My current baby, which I will be driving until the wheels fall off!

2002 Jeep Wrangler, Sport package, 4WD, Wench, Red with Black interior, Spotters (lights on the side), bull bumper, and extra speakers.

I forgot the tire size, but its bigger than the ones that came with it!

Re: Favorite Car

Well, my current baby is my favorite....Silver 2002 Nissan Altima! The best car I've ever owned! This photo isn't mine, but she looks like this:

But my favorite car before that was my 1974 Dodge Challenger (sister car to the Charger). Man, this car could tear up the road!

Re: Favorite Car

Here is the identical twin to my first car. 1962 Ford Fairlane, 170 cubic inch engine and a Ford Two-Speed "Slip-o-Matic" automatic transmission. My Pop drove her for years and when he sold her to me in July of 1975 for $200.00, she already had 208,000 miles on her. I drove that car to death! Sold her for $200.00 with 301,000 miles on her to a buddy of mine before getting the Mustang. What a car!

Re: Favorite Car

This was my first car, a 67 Plymouth Barracuda, with a slant 6 in it.
I was stupid enough to go 120mph once in it
