Re: Hunting

Hunting is not a big sport in my area. I would have to go to Romania or something like that. The further to the east the better. Also I am not allowed to own a gun for the next eight years.

Re: Hunting

I hunt many critters, whitetail deer, rabbit, squirrel, bear, elk, but my favorite is turkey. Pretty neat getting out there and calling the birds in.

Re: Hunting

I no longer hunt as my family (wife and kids) are totally against it. Heck they just don't understand. I used to go back home, in the Bancroft area to hunt. Deer only. I had a misfortune to happen across a rather upset black bear and was forced to put it down. Have not gone on the hunt since.

I was taught a very young age, about 6 years old,
Never point a firearm at anything I don't intend to shoot.
Don't shoot anything I don't intend to kill.
Don't kill anything I don't intend to eat.

The qualifier to the rule... If the crap hits fan and I'm in trouble, ignore the rules.

Yeah I suppose it would. It falls in line with people shooting ducks in the water. LOL

I remember seeing many huge carp sunning themselves on the beaches while I on a canoe trip last year. Very interesting.

Re: Hunting

I hunt all kinds of critters. I then fix them and let my guests guess what they are eating. My favorite is turkey, calling in those guys close enough to touch and then blowing their brains out is quite a thrill.
